The R129 SL320 was Mercedes flagship line. It was used as a platform with which to improve design, features and technology that could be used for Mercede's “lesser” cars. It came late in The successful “Sacco” era of Mercedes, due to many delays in perfecting it’s engineering and revolutionising it's safety features.

For example, the tail lights were not just ribbed for aesthetic appeal, but were far safety - far more superior in producing light during snow-fall. After a decade of 129 safety designing, the r129 launch was unable to keep up with demand, with just shy of 205,000 made during it’s 13 year production run. This makes the price for these luxurious cars much less than what would be expected, and completes this car as a collectible available at a much more affordable price, with great investment potential

The six-cylinder 2000 R129 SL320 here was manufactured just after the 1998 face-lift, with the newly refined M112 3.2L 18-valve SOHC V6 with 221hp. All electronic assets are in working order, including the hydraulic soft-top mechanisms, heated electronically adjustable mirrors and seats (with memory function), and Bose sound system/cd-stacker. The underbody is in superb rust-free condition, and the dark blue soft-top presents in show-room condition.

This r129 was sourced by our expert team in Japan, and has now been serviced and registered (exp August), ready to be enjoyed by it's next custodian. Includes two original remote-ignition keys, a CarVX history report, and a Jevic odometer inspection.
